PMMI, organizers of the Pack Expo trade shows, has announced the promotion of two staff members to vice president positions.

Katie Bergmann was promoted to vice president of administration. She joined PMMI in 2007, and most recently served as PMMI’s director of administration, an expansion of her former role of human resources director. In her new position, Bergmann oversees and coordinates administrative duties for PMMI’s Arlington, VA, headquarters, and manages all human resource functions.

Maria Ferrante has moved up from senior director of training and development to the vice president of education and workforce development. Ferrante joined PMMI in 1999 as director of technical services, and helped launch PMT magazine. In 2009 Ferrante was named senior director of training and development. In her new role, Ferrante will focus entirely on the development of PMMI’s education and workforce development programs, including PMMI’s Certified Trainer program and PMMI U’s new online learning options.

As our attention on these areas continues to increase, we clearly needed to dedicate senior staff to them. Katie and Maria have proven their capabilities repeatedly.
